ORDERING INFORMATION AND SHIPPING
Include contact information and shipping papers to expedite your order.
Please be sure to provide the name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail
address of the person who placed the order. Also, be sure to send shipping
papers with your order. If we need to write to you for a TCN (Transportation
Control Number) or export instructions, you could lose three to eight weeks in
shipping. We can only ship via Parcel Post to APO and FPO addresses. If
ordering from outside the United States, please provide complete information
about the port of embarkation and the exact labeling for boxes.
Prices are F.O.B. (Freight on Board) the factory or one of our distribution centers.
Unless we've quoted you a price that includes all shipping and handling
charges, please do not mark your order "F.O.B. Destination." If you do, your
order will be delayed about two weeks while we contact the contracting officer
to get a written modification to change the order.
Truck freight to the port of embarkation is added to your bill.
Unless we have quoted you a price that includes all shipping and handling
charges, shipping and handling charges to Norfolk, VA, Lathrop, CA, or any
other POE (port of embarkation) will be added on overseas shipments. We will
move the shipment on a prepaid bill of lading, but the shipping and handling
charges will be added to your bill. We do our best to ship as economically as
possible.
Shipping Methods.
We work regularly with the U.S. Dispatch Agency, Military Ocean Terminals, and
the State Department to deliver your merchandise fast! To save you money, we
will consolidate orders from various departments and make a single shipment if
we receive several orders from the same embassy. We are familiar with the
requirements for shipping, packing, paperwork, and marking shipments properly.
For embassies, we can ship by Parcel Post, Air Parcel Post, and Pouch, as well
as by conventional foreign shipping methods. Our shipments are packed in
containers by the U.S. Dispatch Agency.
NOTE: We cannot ship orders of $250 or more via
Parcel Post.
Please consider shipping large or heavy articles by
truck. The maximum-size box the U.S. Post Office will accept is 108 inches (274
cm) combined width and length. The maximum weight is 70 pounds (31.78 kg).
Some items can be repacked into smaller boxes;
however, we charge 85¢ per carton for repacking. We use PAL (Parcel Air Lift)
to save you shipping time whenever possible. PAL size and weight limits,
however, are the same as those of the U.S. Post Office, above.
For your convenience, we also offer DHL or UPS
international service.
Please consider sending franked labels with "Postage
and Fees Paid, U.S. Government" when you need shipment by Parcel Post. You'll
save time, and your package may get better handling at no extra cost to the
government.
